Editorial Policy

Our standards

• Sources: every factual claim is supported by a primary source (government agencies, peer-reviewed research, official statistics or the organisation concerned). Sources are listed at the end of each article.
• Authorship and review: each article carries an author and, for health, cost, finance and insurance topics, a named reviewer. Reviews expire and are repeated periodically.
• Originality: we publish original work written for this site. We do not republish material from other sites in our network.
• Use of AI tools: we may use AI assistance for research summaries and first drafts. Nothing is published without human editing, fact-checking and approval.
• Corrections: material errors are corrected and noted on the page.
• Advertising: ads are labelled and separated from editorial content. Editors have no visibility into advertiser relationships when writing.
